CD RELEASE!
Mr. Schocker's latest cd, "For Dad" is now available!
"For Dad" features the title track, which Gary Schocker wrote for his father, Paul Schocker. "For Dad" also includes several other Schocker compositions along with works by Caplet, Hindemith and Poulenc, with guest artists Hugh Sung, piano and Katherine Vogele, flute.

Flute Retreat Weekend
A Winter break for flutists is planned for February 13-15, 2009 in West Park, New York. The weekend is similar to the summer master classes, held at the same idyllic location on the Hudson River. Master Class Dates

Windplayer Publications recently published "Flute Stories: 101 Inspirational Stories from the World's Best Flute Players." Schocker's story of overcoming an early discouraging moment appears on page 181.
